Speakers from the Community

All of our speakers are volunteers, working in the legal education community. They'll be here to talk a wide range of topics, share their experiences, and provide insight into things that work (or don't) in legal education and technology.

About CALIcon

The 27th Annual CALI Conference brings together leading academics, educators, institutional leaders, and technology professionals to discuss the transformation of legal education through technology and innovation. Our theme for 2017 is “The Changing Rhythm of Legal Education”, echoing the tough balancing act to meet the growing demands within the legal education industry.

Our attendees are a mixture of law professors, law librarians and library directors, law school IT staff and law clinic faculty. We are also beginning to see attendees from the legal technology world. They are early-adopters, socially connected and highly influential in technology purchasing decisions. We expect 250- 350 attendees this year.

Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law

The Beus Center for Law and Society, the new home to the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, uses form and function to connect students, visitors, and the public to the role of justice in society.

Schedule

Our event this year will run over 2 days.
We have a reception on Thursday evening, and our famous FREE breakfast and lunch meals each day!

Conference Hotel

Recognized for its high level of service and design, this hotel became the first Sheraton Grand in North America. Just $139.00 a night and located across the street from the law school.

Our Sponsors

CALIcon exhibitors have traditionally been those in the education software and legal research industries. However, with the increasing emphasis on creating “practice ready law students”, we are also beginning to see companies from the legal practice world use CALIcon as a way to introduce themselves to the new market.
